Awoshie-Pokuasi is located within the Ashanti Region in Ghana. On Friday two cars crashed on the highway leading from Awoshie to pokuasi. The accident is reported to be fatal because it was very dreadly and horrible.
The accident involved a taxi car with registered number 7925-15 which is from Awoshie going to pokuasi and the a Toyota Corolla car with registered number GR 9828-17 also coming from pokuasi. According to the reports given by the taxi driver he said that the Corolla car left it's lane and was on his lane.
The taxi driver said that he thought that the driver of the Corolla car wants to balance a pot hole. However that was not the case, the time he realized the car has mess up on the road they are already together.
On the safest part of the taxi driver he was stuck on his seat until he was rescued by some nearby residents. So the taxi driver is in safe condition and also the Corolla driver who happens to be an alhaji was in a seat belt which made him injured and in a critical condition but responding to treatment.
On the whole one person was dead and two others injured and have been admitted in the hospital. The MTTD is therefore worried about the increase in road accidents and they are pleading on all drivers to comply with road safety rules so as to avoid future occurrences.
They added that this year alone over 700 road crashs has been recorded and so many people lost their lives to that.
