The news, reporting the death of the Mr. Charles Kormi Kudjordi (Founder and leader of secessionist group, the Homeland Study Group Foundation-HSGF), started circulating in Ghana and on social media from the early hours of Saturday, October 16, 2021.
While many Ghanaians are busy mourning the death of Mr. Charles Kormi Kudjordi, popularly known as Papavi Hegbedetor, only few people are actually thinking about the cause of his death.
The question some people do asked is; how did he die…what killed him, or what is the cause of his death.
In my quest of finding answers to this question, something strange came across. Since his death, Mr. Papavi’s the media have been providing conflicting reports about the cause of his death. Whiles some claimed he died peacefully, others also reported that, he died after a short illness.
Again some media houses have claimed that, the late Papavi died at his private residence in Ho, but some other reports have indicated, that he died at the Keta Government Hospital, in the Volta Region.
There are also reports stating, that the, Founder and leader of the Homeland Study Group Foundation-HSGF), died at the age of 88-year-old; another counter report have indicated, that he died at 86 years.
What really is the cause of the late Papavi Hegbedetor’s death? Though the cause of his death was not immediately disclosed, in my view…considering his age… between 86 and 88, the late Papavi, may have died of natural causes like age; or by medical conditions (internal factors), as opposed to accident or violence.
This is because some experts have revealed that, the most common ages, known for people to die natural deaths is between 81 and 88 years; and the most common natural causes of death are respiratory and cardiovascular diseases.
Meanwhile, the Volta Regional Police Command has said that, it is yet to confirm the dead.
