Another road accident has occurred, this time with 17 police officers involved. According to the report, a commercial Mercedes-Benz Sprinter with the license plate GS 6780-20 that was transporting these officers to their destination experienced mechanical failure.
The commercial car's driver, Kofi Asare, 31, was allegedly attempting to slow down the car while descending the Aperede – Somanya hills when his brakes failed. According to the report this caused him to lose control of the vehicle, and he crashed the car into a ditch on the other side of the road.
The accident happened on November 27, 2021, and the officers in the bus were traveling from Koforidua to Somanya, according to the report.
