The police force in Ghana really needs to be commended for their relentless effort to stop crime in the country. Since the appointment of Doctor Dampare as the head of the entire police unit in Ghana, crime rates are really subsiding.
The problem of armed robbery is fast growing, cutting across cultures and social classes, with many lives and property (victims) destroyed. Thus, many have acknowledged that in a bid to address the continuous rise in armed robbery incidences in the world, many criminologists have become relentless in searching for plausible explanations for this type of criminal behaviour. It is frequently linked either to individual traits or wide socioeconomic variables such as deprivation in terms of unemployment or joblessness, low income or outright poverty as well as family destabilisation.
A young man was picked up and sent to the police after the police suspected him to be a criminal. The man tried to run away from the police but unluckily for him, he fell from the motorcycle he was using. The police grabbed him and found a gun, bullets, drugs and some amounts of money.
Let all of us be careful when showing money in our social media handles and public spaces, the bad guys may be watching.
