The Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Honourable Kennedy Agyapong has claimed that a guy by name Ampofo has duped him off six pick up vehicles. He made this claim on NET2 TV tonight, Monday 26th April, 2021.
He said he bought one hundred and twenty acres of land from Ampofo at Ketaasi and the seller is no where to be found.
The law maker said that Ampofo guy was helped by a National Fire Service Personnel who claimed to be a Assin. He said, " the Fire Service Personnel should be ready for me If he has not gone on retirement"
Honourable Kennedy Agyapong further stated that Ampofo used to demand money from him every now and then. He said, " he collected the pickups one after the other. He called me one day to imform me about a new Chief of the Area wants me to make new payment. I told him that, I am not giving him any penny"
" The painful aspect is, an old man who witnessed the earlier payment denied that I have not made any payments. That oldman made me feel awkward. From that moment, I have vowed not to buy any Akuapem land".
The outspoken Parliamentarian called on the authorities to make the laws work in order to sanitize the country.
