Mankessim Murder: Funeral Rites Performed For Asor; Family Curses On Her Corpse To Revenge Her Death

The holy book says that there is time for everything, a time to be born and a time to die. However, a death that is supposedly caused by another is unacceptable.

Today, the 30th of September 2022 will remain one of the saddest days in the lives of Georgina Asor Botchwey Family members as they had to bury their beloved daughter. This whole moment brings about excruciating pain to her loved ones most especially the mother who is reported to have collapsed at the funeral ground.

It must be recalled that Georgina, a trainee nurse from Yeji in the Bono Region had gone for an interview at Ankaful Nursing training school at Cape Coast some few weeks back. Sadly, the young lady never returned home but was finally found killed and buried in an uncompleted building that belongs to a chief.

Police investigations into the matter led to the arrest of Michael Darko, a self-styled pastor who also doubles as the boyfriend of the deceased sister and Christopher Nana Clarke, the Tufuhene of Ekumfi Akwakrom in the Central Region.

As she was laid in state, well wishes and sympathizers together with her friends attended the funeral ceremony which was held at Yeji. Mourners in red attires who witnessed the whole ceremony sang dirges and clapped.

The family also cursed and made certain pronouncements to the deceased for revenge for her death.

Georgina was finally placed in a white coffin with an inscription that bore her name "Georgina Asor Botwey."
