A 25 years old man Yaw George popularly known as Jaro and is also known as a Fulani has been caught attempting to kidnap a 2 years old boy in Area 2 a suburb of Sunyani Municipality. The young boy was going to his elder sister's shop when Yaw George saw him and tried to kidnap the young boy.
According to the young boy's mother called Madam Akua Pokua who owns a chop bar, her son was with her when she left him and went to the washroom only to come back to hear people shouting that someone has taken her son away. The mother started shouting for people to help her, fortunately, the residents came out and they were able to rescue her son.
The angry residents then beat the alleged kidnapper, it was the Sunyani District Police Officers who came to intervene and rescue him from the residents. The District Police Commander Francis Numado has disclosed that the suspects will be sent to the Sunyani hospital for treatment due to how he is severely injured. Although the victim's family has not made any official report.
