Rainstorm to hit hard again-Ghana Meteo warns

The Ghana Meteorological Agency has issued a notice to Ghanaians of an impending rainstorm. According their outfit today Friday 16, July, 2021, issued a statement which read

'' A rainstorm observed today July 16, 2021 over the sea(Gulf of Guinea) at 0900 UTC is expected to move westward and induce cloudiness with thunderstorms with moderate to heavy rains over the coastal areas, and parts of Southern Ghana ( Volta, Greater Accra, Eastern and Ashanti regions), between the hours of 1200 UTC and 1800 UTC( 1200PM to 6:00PM).

They further warned places within the area of Bono and other regions to also prepare for the rainstorm as they are likely to be affected.

All these details given above are to give information to Ghanaians to take measures as the rains could possibly disturb the peace of most of us.

Recent floods that were caused as a result of these rains resulted in many disasters that caused the state and the individuals millions of cedis. Although the government is working around the clock to make sure such happenings are averted but the greater part is left upon is to tackle it.

Accra and Kumasi were the most affected part during last month heavy downpour of rain. Paces that were affected were Amasaman, East Legon, Teshie, Ashaiman and other areas. Kumasi central market was greatly affected destroying alot of properties.
