Peacefmonline has confirmed another serious antihuman incident in the Ashanti Region of the country, where residents of Agogo District in the Asante Akim North Municipality allegedly inserted a large stick into the anus of a sixteen (16) years old boy after he was caught red-handed in a theft incident.
16-year-old Enoch Kwaku was caught red-handed breaking into a store in the Agogo Market. The residents did not take it lightly for the poor boy. Whether he actually stole supplies from the store or not is yet to be disclosed in the law court. However, he has committed a criminal offence by breaking stores and attempted to steal.
Six persons have however been arrested and remanded in police custody for allegedly inserting a stick into the anus of the 16-year-old Enoch Kwaku after they caught him in the act. The Ashanti Regional Police Command confirmed that the act of these six individuals is considered an offense punishable by law as they have taken the law into their own hands.
The alleged boy is currently under admission in the Agogo Presbyterian Hospital in Agogo, receiving treatment for the damages caused by the stick around his buttocks and anus. The six persons were subsequently arrested and detained by the police for physical assault.
The six appeared before the Agogo District Court on Monday, July 12, and are expected to reappear before the court on July 27, 2021. The six were remanded in police custody to allow for thorough investigation into the situation.
