15 persons were rushed to the Tema Hospital after a car they were traveling was involved in a near fatal accident.
The accident occurred on the Tema- Dawhenya stretch in the Greater Accra Region on Monday morning.
The accident occurred after two vehicles collided with one another resulting in the accident.
According to eye witnesses, whiles one of the vehicles was coming from the Tema direction of the road, one other vehicle was coming from the opposite direction.
Fortunately, no fatality was recorded, even though, there were various degrees of injuries.
The injured were transferred to the Tema Hospital where they received treatment.
Some eye witnesses blamed overspeeding on the part of one of the drivers as the other tried to overtake him.
The Tema-Dawhenya stretch is an accident prone zone as it has recorded a number of accidents in the past.
Some have blamed the numerous accidents on the road on the sharp nature of the curve.
