Traders and wayferers around Roman Hill, a popular lorry park closer to the Kumasi Central Market witnessed an unfamiliar drama on Saturday, 10th April, 2021. The scene was created by unidentified young woman in her mid 30s and some preachers evangelizing around Roman Hill lorry park.
Whiles the preacher was going about his daily evangelism on the pavement, the young woman appeared from nowhere, got closer to the evangelist and started demonstrating signs of being possessed. She then got closer to the offering box, dipped her hands into it and removed the entire Offetory from the box. The evangelist and the people around were astonished at what was happening yet no one attempted to stop her. She then took few steps to some head potters around and started sharing the money to them.
She then dashed to the next evangelist who was about 50 meters away, and repeated her action. This time around the preacher tried to stop her from taking the Offetory but the young woman outsmarted him and shared the offering to the wayfarer, vagabonds and head potters around.
Later, some of the people around approached her reasons behind her venturing into that dangerous escapade. Her response was that, the Holy Spirit instructed her to take that bold step, and the same spirit strengthened her to overpower the second evangelist who tried to stop her.
Evangelist can be seen all over the streets of Kumasi nowadays, in the buses, bus stations, markets, pavements, etc. They can be found in every corner of the city preaching the word of God in peace on daily basis. Perhaps, this is the first time something like this has happened in the Kumasi Metropolis.
