A fuel tanker containing 54000 liters of diesel has fallen on its side and spilled diesel at Kaase in the Asokwa Municipality of the Ashanti Region.
Surprisingly, people residing in and around Kaase came out in their numbers in trying to get some of the fuel out of the tanker knowing how dangerous that could be.
A statement released by the fire service said:
"Our never disappointing plucky Firefighters are currently at the accident scene. The good news is that the situation has been brought under control.
The Police have been called in to deal with the miscreants who are siphoning diesel with assorted containers at the accident scene.
Residents are however warned to stay away from the accident scene."
We understand how difficult things are economically in this country, but let's be careful how we go about certain things that we know clearly can put a stop to our existence.
