As a characteristic of a Ghana Police Service since Dampare has been appointed as the acting Inspector General of Police, the public, especially drivers were notified of a Tema bound loaded low bed truck that got stuck under the Hong Kong footbridge on the George Walker Bush Motorway. Drivers who ply the stretch of the road were as a result told to drive with caution as efforts were made to clear the truck off the road.
Low and behold, the Police Service has been up to expectations again as the situation was rectified within the shortest possible time. According to a press release on the Facebook timeline of the Ghana Police Service, the service frantically, with the engagement of some welders helped to remedy the situation.
Meanwhile, according to the press release, the driver of the truck with registration number WR 1546-U, Isaac Ayittey, has been arrested and the vehicle impound at Odorkor Police Station for Investigation. The Police Service also took the opportunity to abide by the rules and regulations to prevent avoidable road crashes.
Ghanaians who admired the swiftness with which the Police Service was able to clear the truck off the road, pour praises on the acting Inspector General of Police.
