The current trend of person’s missing and the obvious outcome that these persons end up being victims of ritual murders is become worrying in Ghana.
Only two weeks ago, the chilly news of a ten year old who was murdered by his friends for money rituals (sikaduro) hit the news arena with such impact that many, till date can not phantom what is become of our typical Ghanaian society known for its vigilance.
It has come to the attention of the public that in less than a week after the gruesome abduction and murder of the 10year old a woman, Afia Pokua Asamoah, together with her one year four months old baby Edward Oteng Asare have gone missing.
The husband, Isaac Ohene Oteng reported to the Teshie police station in Accra on 30th March 2021 that sometimes on the 28th of March 2021 at about 2pm his wife Afia Pokua Asamoah and son left the home unceremoniously and has since not returned. The police has since launched an investigation into the matter.
Ghana is not known for kidnappings and abductions. However in the not too recent past such unfortunate incidences continues to make the country quite unpopular especially with the spate and constant occurrences of such matters which invariably ends up in gruesome murders of the victims.
