It is very through as the say goes, wonders shall never end. It has been upheld at Kwasi krom a small town under the Suaman district in the Western North region of Ghana. Kwasi krom is popularly known within the region for it illegal mining activities; galamsay.
On Thursday 18th of March 2021, Kwasi krom has been hit with a very sad and tragic incident as four teen and native of the town raided their cemetery. The culprit which included three boys and a girl were eighteen years Kofi Azhonu, Kwame Emmanuel, Adams Muniru, nineteen years and a popular girl in the town, eighteen years Mary Awimba popularly known as Yaa diamond.
The culprit who are galamsayers in the town decided to raid the cemetery after a young man of thirty four years, Mr. Awudu Issah involved in a fatal motor accident and was buried the day before. At 2:00am on the Thursday, the news were everywhere in the town that these four teen were caught at the cemetery already unearthed the mortal remains of Mr. Awudu Issah. This was made known to the people by some of the natives who were returning from a wake keeping in a near by town, Ansu krom. According to the witnesses, as they were returning the heard screaming at the cemetery and they rushed in to find out, shockingly they found Kofi Azhonu collapsed, the other two boys altered mentally and Afia Diamond was left alone screaming for help. They sent them to the chief palace and to inform the community about it.
Afia Diamond who was stable confessed at the palace that they went there to pick some parts of the remains for spiritual incantations and sacrifices to enhance their galamsay activities. Some of the elders at the palace said it is the wrat of the gods of the town which have led to this.
