The national chief imam of Ghana, mallam Sheikh Nuhu Shaributu yesterday did the unexpected despite being a Muslim, as the first person to have officially donated an amount of Ghc 50,000 as his contribution towards the building of the national cathedral, a political campaign promise of president Akufo Addo.
Though majority of Ghanaians, most of which were Christians spoke harshly against the building of the national cathedral, but this singular act of the chief imam has really changed the thinking dimension of Ghanaians towards the cathedral donations. This will tickle more people to also out of their free will contribute.
But the controversial captain smart has looked at this act from a different angle. Despite commending the chief imam, he has openly attacked the Christian council of Ghana for accepting the money without any shred of Shame.
Speaking today live on Onua TV's Onua maakye morning show, the outspoken journalist questioned the integrity of the many men of God in the country as well as the Christian council for refusing to contribute on their own towards an artifact that will be a property of the Christians.
"These so called men of God forms part of the richest personalities in this country, yet you are looking on the chief imam to build a cathedral for you. Prove to us that the cathedral is the property of Christians by building it on your own efforts. The chief Imam's house is not the 'World Bank' where money is kept" he fumed.
Do you think the so called rich men of God in the country had really disgraced themselves by failing to do what was expected of them?
