It was all fireworks on 'THE GUMBE SHOW' on tv XYZ yesterday, 24th August 2021, as Mugabe Maase chides Dr. Mahamud Bawumia for what he described as the Vice-president's relentless effort to champion the construction of the national cathedral.
According to Mugabe Maase, Dr. Mahamud Bawumia is a Muslim, and a lot of communities need mosques, so has he finished providing mosques to the Muslim communities what's why he is here and about talking about building a national cathedral?
Mugabe asked that as a Muslim, is Dr. Mahamud Bawumia the one to champion the construction of the national cathedral in Ghana? Why is he going about saying that the national cathedral must be built? Does he want it to be built so that they can turn it into an LGBTQI city in Ghana? If that's the case, Ghanaians will not allow it to happen in Ghana.
He indicated that for a Muslim to champion the construction of a national cathedral, it is forbidden. Moreover, this cathedral is a personal promise made by President Akufo Addo to God. He asked where Dr. Mahamud Bawumia was when President Akufo Addo was making that promise to God?
Mugabe Maase said that Dr. Mahamud Bawumia is a big disgrace to the Muslim community in Ghana and that he has disgraced the Islamic religion because this is not what the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Unto Him) teaches in the Holy Quran. So, Bawumia should champion his course and leave the national cathedral to Akufo Addo.
"My brothers and sisters in Islam, please open your eyes because they are building that cathedral for the LGBTQI community in Ghana. So, nobody should contribute to its construction."
He added that if President Akufo Addo can fail to fulfill his promise to build a Cathedral for God, why should we believe him when he promises to build 111 hospitals in the country.
