
A man in his early thirties known only as, Yahaya, the suspected thief has been lynched at Jukwa Abrafo/ Odumase in the Heman Lower Denkyira District in the Central Region of Ghana.
The alleged thief, Yahaya was suspected to have stolen a gallon of palm oil from a woman. This resulted in the mob who caught him beating him mercilessly.
In a video on social media, the alleged thief, Yahaya has been stripped naked and tied to a pole and the people around are flogging him here and there. One could hear the thief, Yahaya said, “I'm not a thief”, stating it repeatedly.
According to sources, the mob flogged him till he (Yahaya) died.
Meanwhile, the Jukwa police have arrested about 15 people over the instant justice.
Many other culprits according to information have escaped arrest but the Jukwa police are in search of them to be put before the court of adjudication.
