On Adom TroTro the Police Officers were seen in the the Baah Yard Traffic light in Accra stopping every motorcycle rider to first of all check if they have all the required documents, wearing helmets and also to check that these riders are not armed robbers or criminals. The Police officers on duty in that traffic light stops every rider and makes sure they are not carrying any weapon or they are not criminals.
On the show where Adom TV reporter mainly focused on motor riders was heard telling riders to respond to their slogan "Red Aso Massa Gyina". And the riders humbly waited and responded to the massage Adom TV are sending to Ghanaian riders and even drivers as well.
The message 'Red Aso Massa Gyina' implies that when the traffic lights shows the red light every vehicle including the motor riders should stop and wait patiently till the green light turns on before the can move. Whiles Adom TV was doing that, the Police officers on duty were busily also stopping these riders and searching their bags to confirm that they are not criminals.
This operation that went on at the Baah Yard Traffic light might not be the only operation going on in Accra traffic lights. This means that the management of the Ghana Police Service under the leadership of Inspector General of Police Dr George Akuffo Dampare is critically finding ways and means to end this continuous robbery and killing of victims.
Aside the fact that, this ongoing exercise by the police will help increase the rate of riders wearing helmets and riding properly it will also reduce the rate of robbery in Ghana including day light robbery.
