Popular Ghanaian Broadcast Journalist and Head of Sports at Angel 102.9 FM, Mr. Saddick Adams has just commended all the commercial drivers that transport passengers to their various destinations in the night, despite the fact that our major roads (highways) are always very dark at night with no street lights.
According to the social media personality, visibility is almost non existent in our country, Ghana. He said 80% of accidents that have claimed so many precious lives happened in the night and the government is not doing anything about it which is very sad. Mr. Saddick Adams stated clearly in the 4th paragraph of his write up that there is no difference driving in the jungle and driving in our highways at night.
He said "64 𝙮𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙂𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙖 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙣 𝙞𝙛 𝙬𝙚 𝙘𝙖𝙣𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙚𝙭𝙥𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙧𝙤𝙖𝙙𝙨, 𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙧𝙤𝙖𝙙𝙨 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙖𝙛𝙚𝙩𝙮 𝙤𝙛 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙥𝙚𝙤𝙥𝙡𝙚 𝙞𝙨 𝙖𝙡𝙨𝙤 𝙖 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙚?". This is very sad, I'm sure we all know the pains that come with losing a family member or someone that is very close to us to road accident.
Some of these pertinent issues when you raise them, the political vampires will attack you as if road accident knows political affiliation. The system isn't working, even street lights that are billed on our electricity consumption are celebrated as an achievement. This nation needs a total overhaul I tell you.
