Ghana's Sad Lost: 3 potential female leaders lost to death through suicide over the past few days.

It's tragic to learn of a loved one's untimely death, and even more so to learn that the loved one took his or her own life through a painful process. Ghana has lost a number of high-potential female leaders in the last week. It's sad and concerning to know that people are suffering from life's hardships and their only option is to commit suicide.

This article has compiled the list of three potential female leaders that the nation has lost as a result of an alleged suicide.

Henrietta Eshun

Henrietta Eshun, a 24-year-old lady allegedly committed suicide at Kasoa CP in the Central Region. The deceased was found by a friend, hanging in her room.

With no proof of what led to her death, her friend, Ruth Aidoo Mensah suspects that Henrietta Eshun took her life out of frustration.

Speaking to Adom News reporter, Kofi Agyei, she said the deceased had journeyed from Cape Coast in search of employment and always Henrietta lamented of her predicaments.

Henrietta Eshun, the deceased was a contender of an upcoming event dubbed: Spot Light African Female Entrepreneur Awards and was bent on winning the ultimate price.

Catherine Ansah

Catherine Ansah, a 27-year-old trained teacher who lived in Assin Fosu near the Latter-day Saints Church in Central Region committed suicide by hanging herself with a sponge to the ceiling of her room.

Her body was found by her neighbours and was wrapped in a big black polythene bag and sent to the police mortuary for autopsy.

Catherine's death is under investigation by the police service of Assin Fosu.

Leticia Kyere Pinamang

On 17 May 2021, Leticia Kyere Pinamang a 16-year-old final year student allegedly committed suicide.

She was a student of Miracle Junior High School at Sunyani in the Bono Region. Little Leticia was found hanging on that sad day evening at the school’s dining hall.

Her death brought a shock to the Sunyani community and nation at large. The family of the deceased do believe that their daughter was killed and not commit suicide as it been reported.

Leticia's body has been deposited at the Police morgue undergoing investigation.

It is a huge loss for the nation, and only God knows why this has occurred. As people, we should be able to inquire into and support everyone we come across who is going through a difficult time because a word from you could save someone's life.

May their loving souls rest in perfect peace.
