Tragic. Two people reported dead in a taxi crash in Asokwa

Two persons have been confirmed dead after a taxi ran into a drinking spot in Asokwa in the Ashante Region of Ghana.

Eye witness says the driver who is learning how to drive mistakenly lost control of the care and veered towards the drinking spot killing the two people.

The incident happened on Sunday 9th May 2021 at around 6:30 pm.

The eye witness said one person escaped the crash with various degrees of injuries, whiles two people were rushed to the Kumasi South hospital.

The two victims, Mary Amoah(70years) and Sampson (51 years) were reportedly dead some few hours upon reaching the hospital.

The body of Mary Amoah has been deposited at the pramso morgue in the Ashante region while efforts are been made by the police to contact the relatives of Samson.

Meanwhile, the police have said in an interview that they have picked up the driver and one other person in connection with the incident and the taxi has been towed to the police station.
