Ashanti Region: Seven people who were killed by electricity laid to rest.

Power and water are two dangerous enemies. In the olden day's, our grandparents used to turn off all electrical appliances and even the main switch whenever there were rainfall. We thought they were been childish,, but they really understood the dangers involve in light and water coming together.

In Ashanti region, a suburb called Amanfrom in the Asutifi South District of the Ahafo Region had the shock of the century when 7 people were electrocuted to death during a rainfall that happened on one Friday around 5 pm.

The deceased include Rebecca Kwarteng, 30, and her three biological children — Simon Agyeman, 7; Agyenim Boateng, 4 and Emmanuella Agyeman 2, as well as her stepson, Christian Oduro, 14. The two other victims were identified as Kaakyire, 25, and Yaa Bertha, 29. Three others sustained injuries.

 The mortal remains of the deceased has been laid to rest over the weekend. It was a state of agony and mourning for the family's of the deceased to see their beloved members lined up in coffins.
