If We Don't Stop, God Will Not Forgive Us: Dampare Storms Suame Police Station With This Message

The Inspector General of Police, Dr George Akuffo Dampare went with some members of the Police Management Board on a night patrol in the Ashanti Region. The patrol which began yesterday, 30th November at 9pm and still going on today 1 December, 2021 in some selected places in the Ashanti Region. One of those places the IGP with his team went to was the Suame Police Station.

He went there checking on their activities and also sent a vital message across to all the officers. I believe this message wasn't just sent to those he talked to at the Station, but then to all officers across the country. The IGP expressed so much discontent with the way Police officers handled civilians in the country. He said it was so disheartening hearing the entire populace talk bad about the service.

He warned them against taking bribes and also talking harshly to civilians when they visit the station with their issues. He said most of these bribes are taken from people that he sees officers better than and if they don't stop such behaviours God will not forgive them. He pleaded with all of them to help build a good image for the service so that they can be remembered for their good works and not the bad.

He said most of the good they do are shattered by their bad attitudes which needs to be stopped with immediate effect. He said if officers are caught doing otherwise, they will have themselves to blame since he wants to make the service an integral and respectable one.
