Some Ghanaians have come to understand that the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo's government has no concern for them. In view of this, they try to manage any situation they come across themselves. There are a lot of places in Ghana that get flooded every year due to poor drainage systems but leaders closed their eyes to them. Annually, some towns in Ashanti, Greater Accra, Central, and Northern Regions experience flooding when it rains heavily.
This year, heavy rainfall devastated the road on the Wa-Hale stretch that connects the Nadowli-Kaleo district, Jirapa, Lawra, and the Nandom municipalities to Wa in the Upper West Region. It is true that some people build their houses in waterways but not every flooded area is the result of structures being put at the wrong places.
Checking the image below, the place these guys are living seems to be flat land. Probably their house is not located on a waterway but this is the situation they found themselves in. They probably have no place to go so they have decided to live their normal life in their flooded compound.
Looking at their reaction in the photo, nothing seems to bother them that they living in a flooded compound. They have set their table in the flood and they are comfortably enjoying their meal.
Some Ghanaians after coming across this picture started laughing. They said that no matter the situation you found yourself in Ghana, life must still go on and what these guys were doing in this picture is a clear example. Others said that this is the result of the bad leadership we have in this country.
They don't care about the welfare of the people; all they care about is the welfare of their friends and family. Others said that the government cannot be blamed for what these guys are doing in this picture. They have probably built their house in a waterway or waterlog area, so how can Akufo-Addo be blamed for this?
