The Ghana police service has been hit with an understandable tragedy as the service has loss three ardent officers within a time space of 24hrs.
This tragedy has sent shivers down the spine of their colleagues as according to sources,the circumstances surrounding their death is unknown.
In the case of Sergeant Jemima Aidoo of the Tesano Police, she had complained of chest pains and was rushed to Mary Lucy Hospital at Awoshie and later transferred to Police Hospital for further treatment but was pronounced dead on arrival.
Sergeant Adjei Kumi is said to have collapsed while on duty and was rushed to a nearby health facility. But unfortunately,he was also pronounced dead on arrival by the resident medical officer at the health facility.
Chief Inspector Godfred Osei Atunku was the the officer at the chamba station who also passed away at the Bimbila government hospital after being rushed there following a short ailments
These numerous deaths that has hit the Ghana police service has raised a lot of debates about the real reason behind these deaths
It would be remembered that,this year alone about three officers have unfortunately taken their lives and this even prompted the IGP to institute measures to ensure the police officers get enough psychological guidelines in their field of work in order to avoid some these needless deaths .
We wish the entire police service and the families of the officers who have passed on well in these hard moments..
