Massive donations from fans have helped finish Christian Atsu's school construction project in his native Ghana.

The 31-year-old who died after the tragic earthquake in Turkey had earlier initiated an initiative to raise money for the construction of a school in Senya Beraku, a town in Ghana, to help orphans, much like with his many other philanthropic endeavors.
After he passed away, the hopes of the weak and future beneficiaries began to fade, but Newcastle United supporters made the decision to finish the project, and as a consequence, they were able to raise nearly £3,000 in less than 48 hours.

The charitable organization leading the endeavor on behalf of the late footballer, Arms Around the World, has set a goal of £40,000.

In 2016, Atsu moved from Chelsea to Newcastle, where he appeared in over 120 games.
Also, he has contributed to the release of inmates who had previously been held on remand for minor offenses.
