A mini van carrying passengers on board from Wa to Bulenga, a business community in the Wa East District of Upper West Region got involved in an accident and a woman lost her life in the process. The Accident occured at about 8pm on the 1st of January 2021.
According to eyewitnesses at Biihee, a sub community in Busa, the driver lost control after the van developed a flat tyre, this resulted in the mini van which is Nissan caravan by make, veering of the road.
Some passengers also sustained injuries, including the driver as they were conveyed to the Wa Municipal psychiatric hospital for treatment.
The Upper West Regional Police command has since visited the scene to ascertain the level of damages caused and the appropriate steps to take in order to address road accidents on that stretch of the road.
Bihee is a farming community in the Wa Municipality of Upper West Region.
