Accra Hearts of Oak wins Ghana Premier league after 11 years of Struggle.

Accra hearts of Oak drew one all with liberty professionals yesterday and that was enough to win the Ghanaian Gaints the Premier league tittle even with one match left to go.

The Phobians just needed a point to annex the league trophy after second on the league log asante kotoko lost to Bechem United .

Starting the game with his regular players, coach Boadu just made one change and that was the return of Victor Aidoo starting ahead of Patrick Razak who sat on the bench. Goalkeeper Richard Attah, captain Fatau Mohammed, Raddy Ovouka, Addo Sowah, Mohammed Alhassan, Afutu kotey , Frederick Ansah, Salifu Ibrahim, Kwadwo Obeng and Daniel Barnieh all kept their starting place.

Hearts scored in the 45th minute through Daniel Afriyie in the first half after glorious misses by Kwadwo Obeng and held onto the lead for the first half. Liberty came back strong in the second half with clear intent of getting the equaliser but had to wait till the 87th minutes before getting the match needed goal which was enough to lift them from the relegation bottom there by handling their own destiny into their hands as they go into the last matches come next weekend.

The Phobians currently on 61 points with second place Asante kotoko on 57 points both with one more game to finish the 20/21 league season..

Hearts of Oak will be playing West African Football Academy in the last match of the season come week 34 in sogakope, a match which now as turned a mere formality.

The Phobians started the celebrations party right after the referee blew the whistle to signal for the end of the game. Togbe Afede the Bank roller of the team could be seen jubilating with other top officials in the VIP stands popping champagne and the players joining the frenzy as they carried their coach shoulder high and tossed him into the skies a few times.

Congratulations to the Continental club masters for winning the 20/21 Ghana Premier league tittle.

The great news out there is that the Phobians are returning to Africa!
