The blues look extremely confident and rejuvenated under new head coach Thomas Tuchel. The German gaffer took over from English boss, Frank Lampard following a poor run of form which saw the club plummeting uncontrollably on the league table. However, Thomas Tuchel performances so far seem to be what Chelsea have been anticipating all this while.
The blues have now leaped to the 4th position on the league table, 12 points behind league leaders, Manchester City. Infact if Chelsea's form under Tuchel is anything to write home about, they can be assured of a strong finish both in their European and domestic campaigns.
Despite the smooth run for Tuchel, his tactics and formation have resulted in a number of renowned exclusions which feels quite disturbing. Star players like Zouma, Hakim Ziyech, Ngolo Kante, Christian Pulisic, Recce James and Ben Chilwell have all been the unfortunate incompatibles in Tuchel formation and tactics. These are players the club and fans felt were highly talented and indispensable in the team.
Nonetheless, the new project at the club means, these stars would have handful game time subsequently. Hakim Ziyech has already hinted a possible transfer to search for a regular football. Big European clubs could be submitting their offers to tempt these outcasts if the situation remains the same.
Antony Rudiger, Joginho, Alonso and Matteo Kovacic who were on the verge of being sold under Frank Lampard, have surprisingly emerged as the players who best fit Tuchel's eccentric game style. The ultimate target of the club is to win and challenge for tittles consistently and if Thomas Tuchel can do it by excluding Zouma, Ziyech, Chilwell and other star players, the club would have no option than to cash them in.
