Black Galaxies of Ghana are inching closer to Chan qualification after beating Nigeria by two unanswered goals at the Cape Coast Stadium today. Accra Hearts of Oak star performer Daniel Afriyie Barnieh and his fellow teammate Suraj Seidu scored the two goals for Black Galaxies.

Today’s victory could hand an obvious qualification to Ghana ahead of the return leg in Abuja, Nigeria.

Ghana and Nigeria were cautious in the first half as the first forty five minuets ended with a barren score.

Coach Annor Walker and his henchmen changed the approach for Ghana in the second half, which led to the first goal in the 48th minutes. Daniel Afriyie Barnieh broke the deadlock for Ghana after Suraj Seidu had been brought down in the penalty box. Daniel Amartey expertly spotted the ball home to hand Ghana the lead.

Black Galaxies kept pushing for the another goal which eventually arrived in the closing stages of the game. Suraj Seidu added the second for Ghana to complete today’s mission.

Ghana ended the game with two goals. The reverse fixture will take place September 3.
