Asante Kotoko are the current leaders in the Ghana Premier league with 56 points after beating Karela Fc by 2-1. The porcupine royals had an early lead through Emmanuel Gyamfi’s goal at the 21st minute of the game.
Emmanuel Gyamfi has been one of the influential players for the Ghana Premier League giants. His goal against Karela means that he has scored in three consecutive games for the fabulous which can be considered as a remarkable performance by the winger.
Karela pounded a lot of pressure on Kotoko at the second half of the game in the quest of an equalizer. Striker Diawiase Taylor got the equalizer for Karela United at the 61st minute of the game. The visitors kept their momentum to score another goal but the defense of Kumasi Asante Kotoko was solid.
The fabulous took the lead at the 68th minute of the game through Fabio Gama’s goal. The introduction of Imoro Ibrahim and Augustine Okrah helped the fabulous to keep their composure and record the huge victory.
