GPL takes a break this weekend as clubs take a respite ahead of midweek games

The ongoing Ghana Premier League, GPL takes a break this weekend and will resume with the Matchday 29 action in midweek.

However, there will be football action on Saturday and Sunday when the MTN FA Cup competition continues with the semi-final matches.

Hearts of Oak will play Dreams FC at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday afternoon with Bechem United hosting Aduana FC on Sunday at the Golden City Park, Berekum on Sunday in the other semi-final game.

The GPL Matchday 28 fixtures played over the weekend produced very little surprises with Asante Kotoko still leading the pack by nine points with six matches to end the 2021-22 campaign.

The Matchday 29 action will start next week Wednesday with seven matches as the season draws to a close.

Berekum Chelsea will host Medeama SC at the Golden City Park, Berekum; King Faisal Babes will welcome Techiman Eleven Wonders to the Baba Yara Stadium, Kumasi in a relegation battle.

WAFA will host Accra Lions at Sogakope; Aduana FC will be home to bottom side Elmina Sharks at Dormaa Ahenkro with Karela United playing Great Olympics at Anyinase.

Real Tamale United will host Bechem United at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium, Tamale whilst Accra Hearts of Oak plays Bibiani Gold Stars at the Accra Sports Stadium to close the action next Wednesday.

Then on Thursday next week, two matches will be played as Legon Cities host Dreams FC at the El-Wak Military Sports Stadium in Accra with Asante Kotoko playing away to AshantiGold SC at the Len Clay Stadium at Obuasi.
