Lawrence Okolie Becomes WBO Cruiserweight Champion After Beating Krzysztof Glowacki In A Knock Out

The unbeaten 28-year-old boxer had emulated the likes of Tony Bellew, David Haye, and Jonny Nelson who previously held world crown in the 200lb class.

The pole was being picked off by the longer limbs of Okolie who stabbed out jabs and stinging body shots in the 2nd round.

Moreover, in the 3rd round, the intensity increased as Lawrence continued to target the ribs of Glowacki.

During the 4th round, the intensity again increased as the 28-year-old Continued to assault his 38-year-old opponent.

He continued to throw jabs here and there during the 5th round and then ended it all in the 6th round through a knockout

A destructive right hand however dumped Glowacki to his back prompting referee MacDonnell to signal Okolie's triumph

"I think I might cry in my hotel room, but not in front of anyone. It's a blessed feeling. It's crazy," Okolie told BBC Radio 5 Live.

"It's important that I become one of Britain's best cruiserweights and I have the opportunity to do that. This was a good win but there are more tests ahead."
