According to Ghanaian media, talks have been ongoing between the administrations of Kumasi Asante Kotoko since Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum opted to resign from his post at the club.
In an interview, Alex regarded Kamou Malo as a disciplinarian and also spiritual in his line of duty, he said, "I was happy when I heard Coach Kamou Malo is coming to Kotoko because he is much disciplined and also spiritual and physically strong.”
Malo has been the head coach of the Burkina Faso national team since 2019 and has been credited with the team's recent victories, including an amazing performance at the recent AFCON.
Kumasi Asante has signed new players, however, Kotoko is yet to name a permanent head coach following Dr. Ogum's departure from the club.
The decision by management to go on a preseason tour in Turkey has been cancelled, the club is now in Accra, Ghana, for pre-season training, with Gazelle serving as a coach.
The astute editorial staff at www.atspo.com wishes to enquire about Kotoko's management and other decision-making bodies after AS Douanes grabbed up target Kamou Malo, who would serve as the next head coach of Kotoko.
There has been a long list of coaches that have been proposed to the management, which includes experienced gaffer, Kwesi Appiah, leading the park to take the mantle after Dr. Ogum.
Earlier, a Sports journalist in Burkina Faso disclosed in an interview to Sompa FM in Kumasi that in Burkina Faso they were unaware of the gaffer’s switch to Kotoko, Boukari Ouadraego said, "We haven’t heard anything about Kamou Malo to Asante Kotoko and I believe it’s false because he joined AS Duoanes of Senegal recently and is already working on their CAF confederations game."
