Aduana Stars to Deepen WAFA’s Woes in Dormaa?

Aduana Stars will look for another victory but this time in a home game at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park in the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season.

The “Ogya Boys” started the season on a slow not having travelled away to pick one point in a 1-1 draw at the Crosby Awuah Memorial Park in Anyinase against Karela United in the first week. The two time Ghana league champions had a day to forget in match week two at home to King Faisal. They were shockingly pummeled at home 3-1 by the “Insha Allah” Boys at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park. The gathered themselves to hold defending league champions, Accra Hearts of Oak to a 1-1 draw at the Accra Sports Stadium in the third week.

There was an improved performance for Aduana Stars in the fourth week at home when they whitewashed Premier League returnees, Real Tamale United in a rescheduled game at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park. Aduana Stars won 5-1 to begin a renaissance. The big win in the fourth week boosted their morale moving into the fifth week against Legon Cities at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Aduana Stars surprisingly defeated the Royals 1-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium. Yahaya Mohammed blasted home the only goal of the game to send on eight points after five games. The Ogya Boys will have a relatively easier task in the sixth week against a struggling West Africa Football Academy at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park. A win for Aduana Stars will take them to 11 points and keep them in the chase for the top four battle.
