Sarri, who had Jorginho under his command, just like N'golo Kante during his time at Chelsea, believes that the Italy international deserves to win the supreme individual award because of his very good campaign which will have seen him win the Champions League with the Blues and reach the semi-finals of the Euro.
Maurizio Sarri, the newly appointed Italian technician at Lazio football club, gave his opinion on the next Ballon d'Or winner. The former coach of Juventus decided to go with his former midfielder Jorginho.
Remember that the prestigious award was not awarded last year due to the pandemic, but the award is expected to make its comeback this year. In case of coronation with the Italians at the Euro, it is true that Jorginho will have serious assets to assert.
Speaking to Sky Sport Italia, the former Old Lady coach said: “He Jorginho is so good and smart, he makes everything look easy, anything spectacular stays with him, this is what makes him great. Jorginho deserves the Ballon d'Or, a refined player, not everyone understood him."
Do you think jorginho should win it ahead of others? your opinion is important to us
