Leading candidates to become the next Manchester United manager

Manchester United are currently in search mode to find a permanent successor to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who was sacked this morning after a continuous poor run of results.

The Manchester United board have named another legend Michael Carrick as interim manager as the search for a new manager continues.

Michael Carrick will be assisted by former team-mate and technical director Michael Fletcher, Mike Phelan and Kieran McKenna to runs the coaching affairs of the club.

Manchester United's hierarchy have 7 coaches on the wishlist to replace the departed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The list comprises of;

1. Zinedine Zidane ( No club)

2. Mauricio Pochettino (PSG)

3. Eric ten Hag (Ajax)

4. Brendan Rodgers (Leicester City)

5. Ralf Rangnick (Lokomotiv Moscow)

6. Julen Lopetegui (Sevilla)

7. Luis Enrique (Spain National Team)

French legend Zinedine Zidane and Paris Saint Germain(PSG) head-coach Mauricio Pochettino are currently the most preferred choices to lead the line for Manchester United.

Also, 6 of Manchester United's coaching targets are currently coaching other teams and needs to compensate those clubs before they release their coaches.

Manchester United board are currently divided on who to succeed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Some board members want Zinedine Zidane and Sir Alex Ferguson Mauricio Pochettino.

But this managers are very difficult to get at this time of the season, as every manager wants to have preason before the season starts. So its likely Manchester United will appoint an interim coach and appoint a permanent one when the current season ends.

They want someone on a long term basis to continue Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's project.

Manchester United board are aware of all these instances and are preparing a big financial package to lure their targets to the club.

If their top targets keep resisting, they will have no choice than to focus on the remaining 5 candidates.
