See what Pele had to say after Maradona's death.

After Diego Armando Maradona passed away on the 25th November 2020, a lot of world class footballers have shared their condolences including, Hari Kane, Rio Ferdinand and among others. Soccer Icon and Brazilian legend Pele  has also paid a moving tribute to his "great friend" Diego Armando Maradona after the Argentine died at the age of 60

While Pele and Maradona have made significant contributions to football, there is a slight difference Maradona scored over 300 club goals, while Pele struck over 700 club goals.

The Argentinean authorities confirmed that Diego Armando Maradona passed away at midday in his house in the province of Buenos Aires. A preliminary autopsy reportedly leaked to the Argentine press has revealed that Diego Maradona died of heart failure. Diego Armando Maradona was born Oct. 30, 1960, in Lanus, Argentina, and raised in the Buenos Aires shantytown Villa Fiorito'
