Manchester United face a heavy task tonight in the Champions League if they want to secure a place in the round of 16 of the champions league this season. The Red Devils have just 8 points from a possible 12 points and they risk elimination if they fail to get 3 points from their remaining 2 games.
With Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer sacked and new manager to replace the Norwegian, former midfielder, Michael Carrick has been tasked to handle the team till a replacement is secured. Carrick was one of the assistant coaches for Ole and he has been named as one of his best assistants in his time at Manchester United. 
Carrick’s inexperience in management of a senior team could place Manchester United at risk of failing to qualify for the Round of 16 in the champions league and most importantly, they face an opponent who defeated them in the finals of the Europa league last season.
