Steven Gerrard Has Been Fired As Manager Of Aston Villa After Only 11 Months In The Premier League.

Fulham has won three of their six home Premier League games this season at Craven Cottage, one more than they had won at Craven Cottage during their last season in the league in 2020-21.

Aston Villa was booed off at the half and full-time by their frustrated sell-out travelling support at Craven Cottage, with chants of "We want Gerrard out" audible from the away end for long periods of the second half on a dreadful night in the capital for the 10-man Villans—and by 10 pm, they had gotten their wish.

Steven Gerrard's first adventure into managing in England ended when he was fired as manager of Aston Villa, the 42-year-old was sacked after a sluggish start to the season and left the Midlands club just above the relegation zone with nine points after 11 games. They are 16th in the Premier League rankings, one point above the relegation zone.

According to statistical analysis undertaken by the prospective editors at, Gerrard's resignation implies he only lasted 11 months at Villa Park after being named manager on November 11, 2021.

The English manager is the next to be fired from his post in the English Premier League following Thomas Tuschel at Chelsea, and Gerald's dismissal is hauntingly similar to his predecessor, Dean Smith, who was fired on November 7, 2021, after accumulating just 10 points from their first 11 games.

Aston Villa's moments under Gerald appear to be awful. Aston Villa had a player sent off, surrendered a penalty, and scored an own goal in the same game for the first time in Premier League history.

Lucas Digne, Calum Chambers, and Robin Olsen were all purchases made by Gerrard in his first transfer window. However, the Brazilian star Philippe Coutinho, a former Liverpool colleague, who joined on loan from Barcelona, was his most well-known acquisition.

After full-time, Gerrard's dismissal was announced in a statement on the club's website, which read: "Aston Villa Football Club can confirm that Head Coach Steven Gerrard has left the club with immediate effect."

And the club’s spokesperson hit a nail right on the head: "We would like to thank Steven for his hard work and commitment and wish him well for the future."
