Kotoko’s Loss Was My Most Difficult Night Aside Atuguba’s 2013 Declaration – NPP Big Wig Declares

Yesterday was one of the biggest football days for Ghana. The day saw a super clash between Ghana’s 2 biggest teams. With both teams on 56 points the match was meant to be a decider to foretell who might win the league. The match drew s much controversy and interest that has been missing for some time now. At the end of 90 minutes, Hearts of Oak pipped Asante Kotoko by a lone goal.

Today, Monday, June 28, 2021 Dennis Miracle Aboagye, former MCE for Akuapem North and Kwame Zuh, the NDC Asante Regional secretary joined Berla Mundi on ‘New Day’. The discussion started off with yesterday’s ‘El Classico’ between Kotoko and Hearts. Dennis Aboagye explained that he suffered his second biggest disappoint yesterday.

“The declaration by Atuguba during the election petition was disappointing. The heartbreak and the pain I went through in 2013, apart from that day I think the most difficult night was yesterday. We are a better team than Hearts of Oak. We are properly branded. We know how to sing all our songs. We are the team of the century and so for us to lose with such a goal is very heartbreaking.

My heart goes out to Sammy Awuku who was sitting in the midst of Phobians. Kate Gyamfuah was also there. It was an offside goal. It was a difficult game for us” Dennis Aboagye said.

Kwame Zuh, the Ashanti Regional Secretary of the NDC stated off by joking that he preferred a grilled porcupine. He was of the view that Kotoko was no match for Heart. He maintained that yesterday was a glorious day and tasked Kotoko to go back and do their homework. He applauded the officials of the GPL for bringing back the love to the game of football in the country.

Did Hearts of Oak deserve the victory? Who is winning the GPL, Phobia or Fabulous?
