We're only a week away from the crucial double header against Nigeria in the 2022 World cup qualifying play-off and Ghana as a football national isn't certain about venue to host the Supper Green Eagle of Nigeria.
The Cape Coast stadium which is set to host the match, was recently in the news that it's not in good shape for the big game after pictures of the pitch circulated on social media during the Independence Day celebration. This lead Nigeria to have filed a petition at FIFA with pictures of the poor Cape Coast pitch, leading FIFA to have warned Ghana to choose between Morocco and Benin to host Nigeria in the first leg of the 2022 World Cup Qualifier.
This development created confusing in the minds people especially football fans in the country, leading some to descend heavenly on the management of Ghana Football Association and government for their inability to solve this minor problem, making us a laughing stock to the world.
Latest to have joined people making mockery of Ghana is a Nigeria legend Daniel Amokachi. He was seen a viral video trolling Ghana's inability to find a venue for the World Cup Qualifiers
He was on record to have said, " We are ready see behind me how beautiful the stadium, but Some people are now searching for a venue, some people are under confusion. You know whom I'm taking about hahaha..."
Sincerely his trolling is more painful than losing the match itself, which I think GFA and the Sports Ministry should bow their heads shame as a football nation like Ghana haven't decided on the location for such a crucial match. If we don't qualify for the World Cup, we'll have only ourselves to blame.
On the more serious note, Nigeria should be the last country to shade Ghana because there's nothing better from their side than Ghana. Although Ghana and Nigeria, nothing can separate these two countries and whoever comes in between will be 3rd person, since our relationship is too deep.
My humble words to Mr. Daniel Amokachi is that, he can continue with his trolls, laughter, and the support but he should remember that we will surely meet at Kumasi Baba Yara Stadium come 25th March 2022.
I'm reliable informed that, CAF officials conducted inspection in Kumasi pitch and the game will move to Kumasi Babayara Stadium as the alternative for the World Cup play off between the Black Stars of Ghana and the Super Green Eagles of Nigeria but not Morocco or Benin as initially rumored.
