Black Stars Goalkeeper Joins Colleagues in Abu Dhabi For World Cup

Head coach of the Black Stars, Otto Addo has been given a huge boost with five days to start the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

The Black Stars were dealt a big blow where two goalkeepers, Richard Ofori and Jojo Wollacott got injured ahead of the World Cup. News has it that Jojo Wollacott has joined the Black Stars squad in Abu Dhabi.

The Black Stars are making their fourth World Cup appearance after their maiden edition in Germany 2006 before appearing in the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.

There was a last appearance in the 2014 edition held in Brazil where the team exited at the group stage of the competition.

The Black Stars managed to qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup after going past their arch rivals, the Super Eagles of Nigeria. The first leg of the game ended goalless at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium before the Black Stars managed to finish a 1-1 drawn game at fhe MKO Moshood Abiola Stadium.
