AFCON 2021: Check How Much Each Team Have Pocketed So Far

Africa Cup Of Nations (AFCON) is one of the 10 lavish trophies in the world worth millions and also has a large audience watching all over the world as well as an equal opportunity for individual players and coaches to sell themselves to the World.

And speaking of the ongoing 2021 AFCON, 24 Nations made it to the tournament which then reduce to 16 as it's progressing and finally 2-teams to the finals. And since it's an exciting and attractive competition it gives its participants a lot of prizes at the end of the competition.

- Runners-up - US$3m

- Third place - US$2.5

- Quarter-finalists - US$0.8m

- Preliminary Preparation Money - US$0.26m

- Base Money For Being Kicked-Out In Group Stage - US$0.475m

Now here's how much each Nation have pocketed so far:

Qualified Teams

Teams that have made it through to the quarter-finals of the ongoing 2021 AFCON are said to have pocketed 800,000 US Dollars in addition to their preparation money of 260,000 US Dollars before the tournament making a million US Dollars and sixty thousand ($1.06M).

Cameroon, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Senegal, Guinea, Malawi, Morocco, Gabon, Nigeria have all booked a place in the quarter-finals.

Knocked-Out Teams

Team's that have been knocked out of the competition are said to pocket 475,000 US Dollars in addition to their preparation money of 260,000 making 735,000 US Dollars.

Ethiopia, Zimbabwe, Ghana, Mauritania, Sudan are all out of the competition.

Note: Egypt, Guinea-Bissau, Equatorial Guinea, Sierra Leone, Algeria, Ivory Coast, Gambia, Mali, Tunisia are set to play their final games and can fall under any of these two categories.
