Week 4 of the Ghana Premier League enhanced the chance for some teams to witness a maiden win whiles others failed to keep up the momentum.
King Faisal held on to a lone goal to mark their first win of the season. Samuel Kusi’s effort was enough to envelop the win for King Faisal and sank Inter Allies.
Elmina Sharks battled hard to deny Aduana Stars the three points. Richard Mpong converted a corner kick to seal success for Coach Yaw Acheampong’s side. Aduana Stars attack could not rise to the occasion amidst glaring chances that fell in their way.
At the Accra Sports Stadium, an improved performance by Hearts of Oak could not fetch them all points as Karela were alert to foil goal scoring opportunities. The two teams settled for a goalless draw.
Eleven Wonders got the shock of their lives following a 0 – 1 defeat to West African Football Academy, WAFA in Techiman. The score line becomes the first league defeat to Coach Ignatius Osei’s team.
Berekum Chelsea obstructed Liberty Professional’s effort and won by a goal at home.
Legon Cities defied all odds to grab a point against Dreams FC.
