Black Stars in Danger Ahead of Nigeria Clash

Ghana is in danger as Daniel Afriyie Barnieh’s goal was not enough as the home based Black Stars lost to FIFA World Cup hosts, Qatar in Austria.

The friendly exercise saw the Black Galaxies lose 2-1 ahead of their two leg CHAN qualifiers this weekend.

The first leg of the qualifier takes place on Sunday, August 28 at the Cape Coast Stadium and the second leg at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja in a week's time.

Ghana qualified for the next stage to face Nigeria after beating their West African counterparts, Bénin over two legs.

The locally based Black Stars must put up a splendid performance as the Nigerians will want avenge their failure for the senior national team to qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Ghana went past the Super Eagles of Nigeria in the 2022 FIFA World Cup over a two leg tie.

The first leg of the game ended goalless at the Kumasi Baba Yara Stadium with the second leg of the game coming up at the MKO Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja.

Coach Annor Walker must make sure he leads his side to qualify for the 2023 Championship for Africa Nations next year.
