
According to sports journalist and transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea have finally agreed a deal to sign Leicester City defender, Wesley Fofana.
The transfer of the French defender has stretched on for almost two weeks with the two clubs far apart in terms of valuation of the defender. Chelsea had seen 3 of their bids for the player rejected by Leicester City.
The final bid which has been accepted is around 70 million pounds with an additional add ons of about 5 million pounds.
According to reports, the defender was also keen on the move with Chelsea being his dream club and former striker Didier Drogba his icon.
Fofana will now be the third most expensive defender in football history after Harry Maguire of Manchester United and Virgil Van Dijk of Liverpool.
The player will have his medicals on Monday ahead of the move as the transfer window closes in the next few days.
