Messi vs Ronaldo: Ferguson's Statement About Messi And Ronaldo Resurfaced After Weekend Games

This summer, the football world witnessed a major event: Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo changed their clubs. But their debuts for their new respective teams did not look the same. As Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi have had mixed starts at their new clubs, a comparison which came from Sir Alex Ferguson resurfaces.

It didn't take much longer for a statement from Ferguson explaining the difference between the two. “Do people say who is the best player in the world? and a lot of people answer, Messi, you can't dispute that opinion".

"But Ronaldo could play for Millwall, Queens Park Rangers, Doncaster Rovers, any team and score a hat-trick in a game, but I'm not sure Messi can do it. Cristiano Ronaldo plays with both feet, he is fast, excellent in the air, he's brave. Messi is also brave, of course, but I think Messi is a natural playmaker".

Cristiano Ronaldo scored four goals in three appearances for Manchester United after his surprise return to Old Trafford last summer. The 36-year-old striker first scored a brace on his debut for the Red Devils against Newcastle, then another goal in the 2-1 loss to Young Boys.

Before scoring another goal against Westham United on Sunday. Messi, meanwhile, has yet to manage to shine at PSG after leaving Barcelona. Despite some exciting actions, the Argentinian has struggled to unlock his talent at PSG.
