Vice president Executive Officer of Ashanti Gold SC, Albert Commey has apologized for his match-fixing claims.
The previous Aduana Stars CEO blamed a few clubs for playing fixed games in the last round of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League.
Mr. Commey affirmed that the match between the Hearts of Oak and Real Tamale United, which finished 4-1 was fixed.
RTU entered the game frantic for three places. It was their main any desire for staying away from transfer from the first class and they recorded a stunning outcome to keep awake.
"Ghana Premier League was serious yet wasn't content with the last day since there were bunches of fixed games. RTU never dominated any game away. Ashgold v Bibiani Gold Stars was fixed. Ponders v Aduana was fixed. Lord Faisal versus Legon Cities was fixed," Commey said on Space FM.
He was expected to show up before the Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana FA in July to help with examinations.
In any case, the accomplished football overseer has turned around quickly to apologize for his remark.
"I have understood that the meeting I conceded to Space FM in Sunyani as of late has created a great deal of debate among the football organization, particularly the clubs whose names I referenced in the said interview", Commey said in a piece of his assertion.
